Earth is the homeworld of the Terrans and is located in the Sol system.

At the end of the Dread Lord War, Earth was sealed behind a Precursor shield through the use of the Salvation Device so as to prevent its occupation by the Drengin Empire. Nothing could get in or out of the shield, including communications.
Ten years later, the Terran 1st Fleet brought down the shield. This revealed that Earth had not been idle in its decade of isolation as a massive fleet of warships left the planet ready to take the fight to humanity's enemies.
