Technology ages are a new concept in Galactic Civilizations III, staggering discoveries. Most research projects will require achieving a particular age before being available.
Progress through an age is measured by the number of tech points amassed (granted by unlocking technologies in the technology tree).
The Ages
- Age of Expansion - Default starting age.
- Age of War - Second stage, requires unlocking 12 technologies.
- Age of Ascension - Third stage, achieved after unlocking 100 technologies.
- Age of Ascension - A "hidden" fourth stage, referred to as the Age of Victory in the game's files. Achieved after unlocking 180 technologies.
